One of the most rewarding aspects of representing the 13th Assembly District for New York State Assemblymember Charles Lavine (D-North Shore) is working with organizations like AHRC Nassau, according to his office. Led by CEO Stanfort Perry, this extraordinary institution is dedicated to providing the best possible support for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

As the 2026-2027 state budget was being debated, Lavine joined Perry and his leadership team for a meeting to discuss funding challenges faced by all not-for-profits in the current economic climate, Lavine’s office reported.
