Nominations accepted through August 14
(Statewide Opportunity)
The New York State Office of the Chief Disability Officer (OCDO), in partnership with Positive Exposure, is seeking nominations for Beauty & Richness: Celebrating New York State's Disability Community. This project will feature a book showcasing the diversity, beauty, and lived experiences of New Yorkers with disabilities through portraits by award-winning photographer Rick Guidotti, Founder and Director of Positive Exposure, accompanied by participant stories, biographies, and personal reflections.
Participation is voluntary, and nominees must consent to sharing information about their disability as part of the project. Individuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else with their knowledge and agreement. Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection. If selected, participants will be asked to provide formal consent for the use of their images and accompanying text.
Free. Nominations are due by August 14. Complete the Beauty & Richness Nomination Form or visit the NYS Office of the Chief Disability Officer website for more information.
