The United Nations observes International Day of Persons with Disabilities each December and for this year, the theme is “Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress.” The commemorative event will take place virtually at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and will bring together Member States, UN leaders, disability advocates and youth for a presentation and panel discussion.
