Visibility of Disability Exhibit at the Long Island Children’s Museum

–
June 22, 2025

Throughout history, the voices and experiences of people with disabilities have often been overlooked or erased. Visibility of Disability seeks to shine a light on both the obstacles and the triumphs that individuals with disabilities have faced—and continue to face. This powerful exhibit invites able-bodied and neurotypical visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the diverse experiences and perspectives within the disability community. This exhibit is a collaboration between the Long Island Children’s Museum (LICM) and the Museum of Disability History at The Viscardi Center. Contact LICM to learn more.
